The Sysmex CS-5100 System offers labs high-volume throughput with PSI technology

Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics has introduced the Sysmex® CS-5100 Hemostasis System,* a random access, high-volume coagulation analyzer and latest addition to the Sysmex CS family of systems.

Equipped with simultaneous, multi-wavelength Preanalytical Sample Integrity (PSI) technology, the Sysmex CS-5100 System enables high-volume laboratories to achieve first-run accuracy by identifying and managing unsuitable test specimens prior to analysis. Automated primary tube sample volume checks and qualitative detection of hemolysis, icterus, and lipemia (HIL) minimize the need for manual sample inspections.

Advanced workstation capabilities increase productivity

The Sysmex CS-5100 System delivers advanced diagnostic workstation capabilities. A wide optical spectrum allows clotting, chromogenic, immunologic, and aggregation testing capabilities on a single, high-volume platform. With an onboard capacity of up to 3,000 tests1 and up to 40 reagents, the system delivers up to 11.5 hours of walkway time.1 Third-generation cap-piercing technology helps reduce sample processing time while maintaining high throughput. Additionally, primary tubes, pediatric tubes, and sample cups can be loaded on the same rack, and STAT samples can be loaded for priority testing at any time.

The intuitive user interface offers Sysmex CS-5100 System operators a dynamic, customizable environment. Sharing similar software with other Sysmex CS systems, the interface uses universally understandable symbols and on-screen functions—helping minimize user training.

This sophisticated software offers broad user-defined queries and reporting, and can generate easy-to-interpret audit trails with data storage for up to 60 results per sample, for up to 10,000 samples—providing labs detailed traceability of sample results.

True consistency and powerful connectivity support easy integration

Multi-site labs can benefit from the addition of the Sysmex CS-5100 System, which shares the same reagents, controls, calibrators, and sample reference ranges with Sysmex CS and CA analyzers. In addition, excellent correlation values between Sysmex CS systems provide true lab-to-lab consistency for confident patient monitoring.

The Sysmex CS-5100 System will also offer flexible, multidisciplinary connectivity to Siemens automation solutions,2 including ADVIA® LabCell® Automation System, Aptio™ Automation System, and the ADVIA CentraLink® Data Management System for scalable lab automation.

With integrated PSI checks, the Sysmex CS-5100 System reduces manual intervention during track-automated analysis. Additionally, multidisciplinary labs using compatible Siemens coagulation, immunoassay, chemistry, and hematology systems can easily integrate the Sysmex CS-5100 System into their existing Siemens automation configuration.
